Elizabethtown College Dance Class

This is a dance class at Elizabethtown College. In this particular class, students learned Alexander Technique, which is a technique that fully relaxes and stretches the body and leaves the person feeling ten times lighter and more energetic.

Hackman Apartments

This as a video of an apartment in the Hackman South apartment building on the Elizabethtown College campus. These types of apartments usually house juniors and seniors and quickly taken during housing selection in the spring. They include a kitchen, living room, bathroom, and two bedrooms.

Welcome to Wenger

This video is a tour of the 100 and 200 levels of Wenger. Wenger is the home of the English, history, and foreign language departments at Elizabethtown. The Elizabethtown College Honors Program is also housed on the 100 level of Wenger.

Schlosser Residence Hall

This is a a brief video of Schlosser Residence Hall, one of the two all girl dorms on campus. This shows the outside, lounge, and typical dorm room.

Inside our New Academic Buildings - Hoover and Master's Center

These photos were taken inside our two newest academic buildings, the Hoover Center for Business and the Master's Center for Science, Mathematics, and Engineering. Elizabethtown College is constantly renovating its campus in order to give each student the tools they need to excel during their stay here, and it definitely doesn't hurt to make the campus look beautiful either!

Emotion's audition for "Knockin on Heaven's Door"

Here are pictures from a classic dance audition at Elizabethtown College. Dancers come out for different pieces and begin stretching on their own. Then the choreographer will have them do a variety of things including splits, turns and leaps, so that the choreographer can get an idea on everyone's level. After all the preliminaries are done, the dancers get to learn part of the choreography and get to perform it for the choreographer.

The Quads are one of two independent living units on campus. Each Quad has a large common area downstairs, including a kitchen and living/dining room and two bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs. Four students live in each quad. There is also a common building which includes the laundry room.

A Walk Through Campus

This is a slide show of a walk starting at the Youngs Canter and meandering around campus. This is the parking lot that I usually park in and I find myself picking out some of the details that I have pictured while I am walking along this route. This is a walk that cuts through the main part of campus and ends at Nicary, a typical destination for me. Enjoy the walk!!

Elizabethtown College Vera Hackman Apartments

This post shows Elizabethtown Colleges' apartments on campus. You have the privilege of living in the North or South apartments when you have Junior status as a student. These apartments have a living room, small kitchen, bathroom, and two rooms for sharing with a roomie. The apartments are conveniently close to most athletic fields, far enough away from campus, yet not too far for when it is bad weather.

These pictures are of the academic buildings around campus. There are also pictures of some professors favorites spots to take their classes outside when the weather permits.

Academic Buildings

Elizabethtown College is a beautiful campus, but expecially during the winter months. The snow provides students with another source of entertainment, whether it be having a snowball fight, building a snow man or sleigh riding across the dell. This is a slide show of the academic buildings and other noteable places and objects on campus.

Dorm Life

These are some pictures of Royer Residence Hall. It is a co-ed building, with guys on one end of each floor and girls on the other. Included are pictures of a dorm room, the main lounge, one of many informative bulletin boards, the hallway, and the first floor kitchen. The layout and style of Royer are similar to other dorms on campus.

Masters Center for Science, Mathematics, and Engineering

Here are photos of the Masters Center for Science, Mathematics, and Engineering, which was dedicated in 2007 and named after Frank Masters, Jr. The construction and renovation project incorporated the academic buildings Esbenshade Hall and Musser Hall.

Emotion Dance Club

These are pictures from Emotion Dance Club's 2008 fall showcase. Sixteen dances were performed in the show including group pieces, duets, and solos. Members of the club include both guys and girls ranging from freshmen to seniors. Each of the dances in the showcase was choreographed by a student at Elizabethtown College. The show took place in December of 2008. The spring showcase is scheduled for April 4th and 5th, 2009 in Leffler.
